¶1The petitioner, through the present petition, claims security from the State protecting her from respondent nos. 4 to 7, in-laws of the petitioner. It has been stated in the petition that the husband of the petitioner lives in Dubai and taking advantage of the aforesaid fact, the in-laws of the petitioner are harassing the petitioner and causing physical and mental harm to her. It has also been stated in the petition that the husband of the petitioner had telephonically informed the police officers of the District Prayagraj seeking security of his wife.

¶2It would serve no useful purpose to keep the petition pending.

¶3The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Commissionerate of Prayagraj, i.e. respondent no. 2, that in case, the petitioner files a representation bringing all the necessary facts to the notice of the respondent no. 2, the respondent no. 2 shall decide the same in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of filing the representation.
