¶1The instant petition has been filed praying for a mandamus commanding the respondents to pay compensation to the petitioner for having acquired her land for construction of a national highway.

¶2It is not disputed that an award was made in respect of the acquired land on 25.04.2018.

¶3The record of the writ petition does not reveal that the petitioner has ever approached the Competent Authority for the release of compensation amount in her favour.

¶4Consequently, we decline to issue any mandamus and leave it open to the petitioner to approach the Competent Authority with her prayer for release of compensation amount.
