¶1Heard Sri Mahmadul Hasan, Advocate, holding brief of Sri Mansoor Ahmad, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Rakesh Kumar, Advocate, holding brief of Sri Narendra Kumar Tiwari, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.

¶2The present petition has been filed with the following prayer :- "to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider and decide the application dated 09.06.2023 with regard to new electricity connection expeditiously within some specified period of time"

¶3It would serve no useful purpose to keep the writ petition pending.

¶4This writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the Executive Engineer, Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited i.e. the respondent no. 2 that in case the petitioner has filed any application for grant of new electricity connection under U.P. Electricity Supply Code, 2005, the same shall be decided by the Executive Engineer and appropriate order shall be passed by him within a period of three months from the date of producing certified copy of this order before him.
