¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; Sri Devesh Vikram, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondent and perused the record.

¶2The present writ petition has been preferred for a mandamus commanding the respondent authorities not to interfere in peaceful possession and cultivation of Bhumidhari Land Arazi No. 302/1168 situated in village Lasa, pargana Ghisua, tehsil Machhalishahar, district Jaunpur. Alternatively, prayer is made to direct the respondent no. 3 to decide the application dated 6.9.2023 (Annexure No. 13 to the writ petition) within stipulated period.

¶3Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as the dispute interse the parties is ceased before the Consolidation Officer in revision and in the said proceeding, the Consolidation Officer after hearing both the parties and perusing the material evidence produced by the petitioner has already directed to maintain status quo over the disputed site vide order dated 6.7.2023, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition on merit. Suffice to indicate, the petitioner may press the relief as has been sought in the pending consolidation proceeding.
