¶1Heard Shri Vipan Kumar, learned counsel for the appellant and Shri Raj Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the respondent.

¶2Present appeal has been filed under Section 19 of the Family Court Act, 1984 against the order dated 6.9.2018 passed by Principal Judge, Family Court, Sonbhadra in Original Suit No. 258 of 2017 (Sanjay Kumar Gupta vs Smt. Manju Devi) whereby the learned court below had granted the decree of divorce.

¶3While the present appeal has been entertained and remained pending for some time, by means of affidavit dated 10.7.2022 filed by the respondent, a compromise dated 28.4.2022 reached between the parties has been brought on record.

¶4Today, the joint affidavit of the parties has also been filed stating that the parties have settled their dispute and that the present appeal may be disposed of in terms of the settlement thus reached. The settlement dated 28.4.2022 clearly brings out that at present, the appellant does not wish to press the appeal any further.
