¶1Heard Sri Anil Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Ashish Malhotra, learned counsel for the respondents no.2 and 3 and Sri Vinay Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the Union of India and perused the record.

¶2The prayer made in the present petition is for correcting petitioner's name in the record of class XII-Senior Schools Certificate Examination-2023. Another prayer is for getting the representation decided.

¶3Sri Ashish Malhotra, learned counsel for the respondents no.2 and 3 has produced before this Court a copy of the letter dated

23.08.2023 issued by the Competent Authority of the concerned Institution.

¶4The letter is taken on record.

¶5As per the aforesaid letter, permission to correct the name of the petitioner has been granted by the competent authority of the Board and the Institution has been asked to inform the petitioner to take certain steps regarding deposit of fees etc.

¶6When the said letter was shown to the learned counsel for the petitioner, he pointed out that it has been sent to the Principal of Army School New Cantt, Allahabad, U.P., whereas the petitioner's institution is Tagore Public School, Attarsuiya, Prayagraj, U.P.

¶7Sri Ashish Malhotra was directed to obtain immediate instructions from the Board and on the telephonic instructions received by him, the Court has been apprised that the petitioner was earlier studying in Army School and inadvertently the same description has come in the letter and within three days identical letter shall be dispatched to the Principal of Tagore Public School.

¶8In view of the aforesaid, no further direction is required.

¶9The writ petition stands disposed of observing that the direction issued in the letter dated 23.08.2023 shall be complied with by the petitioner.

¶10A copy of the letter to be sent by the Board to the Principal of Tagore Public School shall also be simultaneously dispatched to the petitioner for ensuring compliance of the directions contained in the letter. Order Date :- 13.10.2023 AKShukla/- High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
