¶1Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

¶2The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of mandamus directing the respondents' authorities to cancel the name of respondent No.4 from the Gata Nos. 58, 66 Kha, 100, 160 Kha, 167, 201 total area 0.6920 hectare situated Gram Sabha Bakuliya, Tehsil Meja, District Prayagraj and also to dispossess respondent No.4 from the aforesaid Gram Sabha.

¶3The prayer made in the writ petition is misconceived and cannot be entertained in the writ jurisdiction.

¶4In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable. However, petitioner is at liberty to file an appropriate application for cancellation, before the appropriate authority, under the provisions of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006.
