¶1Heard Sri G.P. Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Pradeep Shankar Pandey, learned counsel for Union of India.

¶2By means of present writ petition the petitioner has prayed for mandamus commanding the respondent no.2, Regional Passport Officer, Lucknow and respondent no.3, Passport Sewa Kendra, Gorakphur to take decision on the renewal application of passport dated 26.04.2022 filed by the petitioner and renew the passport bearing no.J882569 of the petitioner.

¶3After substantial arguments, once the court has declined to interfere, learned counsel for the petitioner very fairly states that this writ petition may be dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file a fresh petition.
