¶1List revised.

¶2Heard Sri Ashutosh Ganguli, learned counsel for the applicant and Sri Ajay Singh, learned A.G.A-I for the State.

¶3This is a second bail application. The first bail application of the applicant was rejected vide order dated 21.1.2021 passed by this Court passed in Criminal Misc. Bail Application No.54027 of 2019.

¶4At the very outset learned counsel for the applicant submits that he is not pressing the bail application on merits but since the trial of the present matter is at the stage of recording of the statements of the accused persons under Section 313 Cr.P.C., appropriate directions be issued to the trial court for expediting the trial and conclude the same within a time bound manner.

¶5Learned counsel for the State has no objection to the said proposition.

¶6After hearing the counsel for the parties and perusing the record, this Court is of the view that since the bail is not being pressed on the merits and limited prayer has been made by learned counsel for the applicant for directing the trial court to decide the trial within a specific period of time, it is provided that the applicant may file an application for expeditious disposal of the trial of the case before the court concerned within two weeks from today, which may as per its load of work, diary and pendency of cases, pass appropriate orders on the same.

¶7The bail application is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. (Samit Gopal, J.) Order Date :- 16.10.2023 Gaurav Kuls High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
