¶1The grievance of the petitioners is regarding the payment of compensation for plot no. 497 which the petitioners claim to be their private plot and which has been taken possession of by the State Government for construction of road.

¶2In this regard, the petitioners have also submitted a representation before the District Magistrate, District-Sonbhadra. It has been stated in the petition that no decision has been taken by the District Magistrate on the aforesaid representation of the petitioners.

¶3It is being stated by the Standing Counsel that the issue regarding payment of compensation to the petitioners has to be decided by the Committee headed by the Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) constituted under the Government Order dated 12.05.2016.

¶4The petitioners may file an application before the Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), District-Sonbhadra and bring all the necessary facts to his notice who on receiving the said application, shall ensure that the application of the petitioners is decided by the Committee stated above within a period of 3 months from the date of filing of the application and in case, the petitioners are found entitled to compensation as prayed, the amount of compensation shall be disbursed to the petitioners within one month from the decision taken by the Committee.
