¶1Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for Respondent No. 1 as well as Shri Ashok Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing for Respondents No. 2, 3, 4 and 5.

¶2Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is working on the post of Headmaster in a primary school run by the U.P. Basic Education Board, Prayagraj at district Ghazipur. It has further been submitted that after adopting due procedure prescribed under the law, petitioner has made certain change in his surname.

¶3Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner has already submitted a representation to the Secretary U.P. Basic Education Board, Prayagraj and thereby has made request that necessary amendment in the name of petitioner be made on the Manav Sampada Portal of the department.

¶4Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has argued that the aforesaid representation was submitted on 08.08.2023 but till date the said representation has not been decided.

¶5On the other hand, Shri Ashok Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing for Respondents No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 has submitted that the grievance of the petitioner can very well be looked into by Respondent No. 2.

¶6In view of the aforesaid submissions advanced by the learned counsels appearing for the parties, without entering into merits of the case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with liberty to petitioner to file a fresh representation before the Secretary U.P. Basic Education Board, Prayagraj, within fifteen days from today and if such representation is filed, Respondent No. 2 is directed to consider and decide the said representation within a period of two months thereafter.
