¶1Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A. for the State.

¶2The instant application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred to quash the chargesheet dated 15.03.2015 as well as proceeding of Sessions Trial No. 191 of 2015 (State Vs. Jabar Singh and another) arising out of Case Crime No. 87 of 2015, under Sections 302, 452, 506 IPC, P.S. Saurikh, District Kannauj, pending in the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge/Fast Track Court-II, Kannauj.

¶3On putting a query about the present status of the trial, it is submitted by learned counsel for the applicant that on 30.07.2023 date was fixed for recording of the statement under Section 313 Cr.P.C. of the accused. Since the trial of the applicant is at the advance stage and the instant application has been preferred after inordinate delay of 8 years, Therefore, I do not find any good ground to interfere in the matter. The application lacks merits and is accordingly dismissed.
