The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that he has been illegally evicted from his house by his neighbours who have also taken unauthorized possession of the house of the petitioner. The petition has been filed stating that the petitioner has filed representations before the District Magistrate, District Prayagraj and the Police Commissioner, Prayagraj seeking remedies from them and for restoring the possession of the house of the petitioner. The petitioner has the remedy to either approach the civil court seeking appropriate relief or institute a first information report and in the alternative, an application under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, in case, the petitioner is advised to institute criminal proceedings against persons who have taken unauthorized possession of the house of the petitioner.
