¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondent.

¶2In pith and substance, the petitioner is praying that direction may be issued to District Magistrate, District Bijnor to issue a character certificate in favour of the petitioner expeditiously.

¶3Be that as it may, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending consideration. Without adverting on the merits of the case, the writ petition, on consent, is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, District Bijnor to consider and decide the grievance of the petitioner expeditiously, strictly in accordance with law.
