¶1Heard Shri Rajendra Prasad Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No. 1 and Shri Pratik Chandra, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 and 3.
¶2This writ petition has been filed claiming the following relief: " (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding Registrar Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) Vishwavidyalaya Prayagraj, U.P. (Formerly Allahabad State University) to declare result of students of B.A. Ist Year (Ist Semester) Session 2022-23 of institution of petitioner, while extending the affiliation by considering and deciding the application dated 19.04.2022, 30.05.2023 and 28.06.2023 within short stipulated period."
¶3The submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that while granting affiliation to the petitioner-Institution for the Session 2019-20, it was also observed that for the purposes of granting affiliation for a period of two years w.e.f. Session 2020-21, an inspection Board would be constituted. It is contended that the inspection Board was constituted, but the proceedings were not finalized by the Board and in the meantime, next Session came into light and, therefore, the petitioner applied for according affiliation for the Session 2022-23 by an application dated
19.04.2022 and the same is still pending.
¶4The grievance raised is that neither any formal order is being passed in the petitioner's matter nor is the result of the students being declared and the matter has been unnecessarily kept pending by the University.
¶5Shri Pratik Chandra, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 and 3 submits that in relation to the controversy involved in the present case, a bunch of Special Appeals is already pending. There are certain other instructions with respect to the inspection report etc.
¶6Be that as it may, since no formal order in relation to affiliation or declaration of result has yet been passed, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Registrar of the respondent-University to pass a formal order in relation to affiliation issue and declaration of result within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him. As soon as the order is passed, its copy shall be served upon the petitioner by registered post. Order Date :- 18.10.2023 Sazia High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
