This writ petition has been filed to direct the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Kushi Nagar, respondent no.2 to decide the Appeal No.361/393/18-19 under Section 11 (1) of U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953 (Kanchan Vs. State) filed on 3.11.2001 within stipulated period. Taking note that before Authority concerned, on various dates the Advocates have not appeared on the ground of their call for abstention from judicial work, therefore, petitioner is directed to appear himself or through his Advocate and shall not take any adjournment on each and every date, whenever the case is listed. This writ petition is disposed of with direction to the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Kushi Nagar, respondent no.2, that he shall take endeavour to decide the aforesaid appeal expeditiously within a period of six months, in accordance with law, if there is no legal impediment.
