This writ petition has been filed to direct the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Mau respondent no.2 to decide the Appeal No.43/46 filed under Rule 109 (A) (3) of U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Rules, 1954, (Subhash Singh Vs. Lalmuni) expeditiously within stipulated period. Taking note that before Authority concerned, on various dates the Advocates have not appeared on the ground of their call for abstention from judicial work, therefore, petitioner is directed to appear himself or through his Advocate and shall not take any adjournment on each and every date, whenever the case is listed. This writ petition is disposed of with direction to the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Mau, respondent no.2, that he shall take endeavour to decide the aforesaid appeal expeditiously within a period of six months, in accordance with law, if there is no legal impediment.
