The present petition has been filed praying for a mandamus commanding the respondent State Authorities not to arrest and harass the petitioners without any first information report having been registered against them. It appears from the pleadings in the case that a first information report under Sections 363/366 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the concerned police station at the instance of respondent no. 4 regarding the abduction of her daughter who from the averments made in the first information report appears to be minor.
