The present petition has been filed challenging the order dated 13.9.2023 passed by the Deputy District Magistrate, Tilhar, Shahjahanpur dismissing the representation of the petitioner which was regarding the rights of the petitioner to hold the Ramleela in the name of Ram Leela Committee, Meeranpur, Katra. A perusal of the contents of the impugned order passed by the Deputy District Magistrate, Tilhar, Shahjahanpur shows that there is some dispute between the petitioner and the respondent no.4 regarding the control over the Ram Leela Committee which is a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act. The respondent no. 4 claims himself to be the Chairman of Ramleela Mela Committee and the petitioner claims himself to be the Secretary of the Ramleela Mela Committee . There is a dispute between the parties as to the identity of the Society registered under the Societies Registration Act and right of the parties to hold the Ramleela. The dispute in the present petition involves issues of various facts and therefore, writ petition is not the appropriate remedy to consider the grievance of the petitioner. The petitioner may either approach the competent authority under the Societies Registration Act or file a civil suit for assertion of his rights. The petition is dismissed.
