¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ambrish Shukla, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for respondent nos.1 to 3.

¶2In pith and substance, grievance of the petitioner is that his application dated 31.7.2023 filed before District Magistrate/District Level Caste Scrutiny Committee, Ghazipur be decided expeditiously. By the said application, the petitioner has sought cancellation of Scheduled Caste Certificate issued to respondent no.4.

¶3Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel did not dispute the aforesaid facts and has fairly submitted that in case the application filed by the petitioner has not been decided yet, the same will be decided by the concerned authority within the time as fixed by this Court.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the concerned authority to decide petitioner of the application dated 31.7.2023 in accordance with law and after affording opportunity of hearing to the concerned parties, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
