¶1Against the demand of house tax, the petitioners had preferred an appeal but unfortunately chosen a wrong forum.

¶2Counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage, he may be permitted to withdraw this petition with liberty to file an appeal before the competent authority, however, the competent authority be directed to decide the appeal expeditiously, as, despite pendency of earlier appeal, several demand notices have been served to the petitioners.

¶2Counsel for respondents have no objection to the said proposition.

¶3Without entering into the merits of the case, we dispose of the petition permitting the petitioners to file an appeal before the competent authority within three weeks from today. In case, the petitioners file any application for interim relief, the competent authority may also decide the same in accordance with law.
