¶1Heard Shri Punit Kumar Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2By means of the writ petition, competence of respondent no.4 to hold elections has been challenged on various grounds.

¶3Shri Gupta, in support of withdrawal application, submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, elections have already been held and the petitioners shall take appropriate steps to challenge the said elections and their result before the appropriate court/forum and in this background, he prays for withdrawal of the writ petition.

¶4Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the prayer made.

¶5This withdrawal application is allowed.

¶5The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the elections and their result before appropriate court/forum. Order on Writ Petition.
