¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.G.A. for the State.

¶2The petitioners, by means of this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, are before this Court with a prayer to quash the impugned First Information Report dated 02.05.2023 registered as Case Crime No. 111 of 2023 under Sections 498A, 313, 323, 504, 506 I.P.C. and Section 3/4 D.P. Act and Section 3/4 Muslim Women (Rights and Protection on Marriage) Act 2019, Police Station Bhagatpur, District Moradabad.

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that this Court vide order dated 12.06.2023 had referred the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court. In compliance of the Court's order, settlement/agreement was arrived at between the parties on

21.09.2023. A copy of the same is on record. Perusal of the settlement/agreement, reveals that the parties have amicably settled their dispute and further agreed to withdraw all the cases pending between them. The said fact has been mentioned in Paragraph Nos. 7 & 8 of the settlement/agreement dated

21.09.2023.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking into account the settlement/agreement arrived at between the parties on 21.09.2023 before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court, the proceedings in the aforesaid case are hereby quashed.
