By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus to consider her claim for compassionate appointment on account of her husband dying in harness on 29.12.2022 while working on a class - IV post namely Sweeper. Sri Shyam Mani Shukla, learned counsel for respondent nos. 2 to 4 submits that the relevant committee constituted for the said purpose has already examined the matter on 03.10.2023 and shall be now taking the decision. In view of the above, since now the committee has constituted for consideration of claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment on account of death of her husband is deliberating upon the same, this petition stands disposed of with direction to the respondent concerned to decide the pending representation of the petitioner within a month of production of certified copy of this order and in case petitioner is found entitled for compassionate appointment, the same shall be offered to her within next fortnight period.
