The present petition has been filed praying for following relief :- "(I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents/competent authority to release the pension in favour of petitioner under the dependent of Freedom Fighter Pension Scheme." In this regard, the petitioner has already submitted representations dated 2.1.2017 and 22.6.2023 before the respondent No. 3, i.e., District Magistrate, District-Deoria, which according to the averment made in the petition has not yet been decided. It would serve no purpose to keep the petition pending and the petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioner files fresh representation before the District Magistrate, District-Deoria, the District Magistrate shall decide the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of filing the same and in case, the petitioner is found entitled to the claim made by him, the pension shall be disbursed in favour of the petitioner within the next period of one month.
