The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that no decision is being taken by the District Magistrate, District-Ghazipur on the application of the petitioner filed for payment of ex-gratia amount under the Government Order dated

1.6.2021. The application was necessitated due to death of the wife of the petitioner who died due to infection of COVID-19 while on the duty in Three Tier General Panchayat Election-2021. The application was filed by the petitioner on 28.5.2021 and the wife of the petitioner died on 1.6.2021. It would serve no purpose to keep the petition pending and the petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioner files fresh representation before the District Magistrate, District-Ghazipur alongwith the certified copy of this order, the District Magistrate shall decide the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of filing the same and in case, the petitioner is found entitled to the claim made by him, the ex-gratia amount shall be disbursed in favour of the petitioner within the next period of one month.
