¶1Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.

¶2The present bail application has been filed with the prayer to enlarge the applicant-Ramesh Chandra on bail in Sessions Trial No.263 of 2002, arising out of Case Crime No. 119 of 2002, under Sections 18/20 N.D.P.S. Act, P.S. Naubasta, District Kanpur Nagar.

¶3Learned counsel for the applicant submits that applicant was initially granted bail on 13.3.2002 and the charge was framed on

23.1.2002. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2023, applicant could not participate in the trial court proceedings as he was shifted to Mumbai for his livelihood. 3-A. At this stage, learned counsel for the applicant submits that the ends of justice would be served, in case, a direction is issued to the trial court to conclude the trial court proceedings in a time bound manner.

¶4Learned AGA submits that the trial in the present case would be concluded in a time bound manner.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the present matter is old matter, the trial court is hereby directed to conclude the trial court proceedings expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. In case, the trial court proceedings are not completed within the aforesaid period, applicant would be at liberty to move bail application.
