¶1The prayer made in the instant writ petition is for a direction to expedite the disposal of Land Acquisition Case No. 2 of 2015.

¶2Case of the petitioner is that at present there is no Presiding Officer to decide the case and therefore matter is getting delayed.

¶3Learned counsel appearing on behalf of High Court states that appointment of Presiding Officer, LARRA, Prayagraj was notified on 19.08.2023 and the Tribunal is functioning.

¶4Having regard to the aforesaid facts, no direction is required to be issued in the instant case. It is open to the petitioner to approach the Tribunal and pray for expeditious disposal of the proceedings.

¶5At this stage, counsel for the petitioner submits that the Presiding Officer may be directed to decide the matter within a specified time frame.

¶6Having regard to the same, we further provide that in case any prayer is made by the petitioner before the Presiding Officer for expeditious disposal of the proceedings and he offers full cooperation, efforts should be made to decide the matter within three months.
