This writ petition has been filed interalia for the following relief:- "A) Issue an appropriate writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Motor Accident Claim Tribunal, Kanpur to decide the Motor Accident Claim Petition No. 719 of 2014 (Maya Devi Vs. Kanpur Nagar Nigam and others) within stipulated period. B) ...." It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the claim petition of the petitioner is pending since 2014 before Motor Accident Claim Tribunal, Kanpur and matter is at the stage of evidence, therefore, the same may be decided within the stipulated time. No useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending in view of the order, which the Court proposes to pass hereunder. Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Motor Accident Claim Tribunal, Kanpur to decide the aforesaid claim petition in accordance with law, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
