¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt. Suman Jaiswal, learned counsel appearing for the Union of India.

¶2Learned counsel for the petitioner is confined her prayer that the respondents may be directed to issue passport as per date of birth which is recorded in the CBSE board.

¶3Smt. Suman Jaiswal, learned counsel appearing for the Union of India has placed the detailed instructions dated 03.10.2023 sent by the Passport Officer, District-Bareilly. She submits that initially, the petitioner's application was entertained and accordingly, the passport was issued on 05.01.2001 bearing Passport No. B2196894 which was valid upto 04.01.2006, wherein, the date of birth of the petitioner was mentioned as 07.10.1998. Later on, on the basis of CBSE Board, it is claimed that the petitioner's date of birth is

06.02.1999. She further submits that till date, the petitioner has not moved any application for re-issuance of passport. She fairly states that, in case, the petitioner applies for the new passport, definitely, the said application would be processed as per law.

¶4Considering the factual aspect of the matter and without adverting to the merits of the case, we dispose of the writ petition asking the petitioner to move an appropriate application as per law before the concerned Regional Passport Officer, in case, any such application is preferred, definitely, the same would be processed in accordance with law in further six weeks' time.
