¶1Heard Sri Akhilesh Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt. Uttara Bahuguna, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2The present writ petition has been preferred seeking direction upon respondent no.5 to decide the renewal application of the petitioner's Saw Mill Licence No.296/2010 and issue duplicate copy of the aforesaid licence.

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that licence of the petitioner's Saw Mill was lastly renewed up to 31.12.2022, he applied online for renewal of the Saw Mill Licence No.296/2010. Petitioners submitted several representations but till date no action is taken by the respondents.

¶4Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel states that in case any such application is preferred, definitely the same would be addressed by the concerned authority as per law.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances, we are not inclined to entertain the present writ petition. In case, the petitioner moves a fresh application for renewal of licence for the saw mill before respondent no.5 within ten days' time, the same would be considered and decided by the said authority as per law within four weeks' time from the date of filing the same along with a certified copy of this order. Needless to say that we have not adverted any opinion on the merits of the case.
