¶1Petitioner claims long pendency of his application for grant of character certificate.

¶2At this stage learned Standing Counsel would submit that petitioner has been found guilty in one criminal case.

¶3Whatever be the correct fact, we do not find any reason for non issuance of any communication to the petitioner in response to his application.

¶4Accordingly, this petition is disposed of with direction upon respondent No.4 to examine the claim of the petitioner and issue appropriate reasoned communication with respect to his application for grant of character certificate.

¶5Needless to add, if the character certificate is to be declined, adequate reasons for the same may be issued to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today.
