Judgment
Order on writ petition Case called on. The learned Counsel for the petitioner is not present. Mr. S.K. Om, learned Counsel appears on behalf of the U.P. Jal Nigam and Mr. Udai Shanker Mishra, learned Counsel appears on behalf of the L.I.C. In view of the order recorded on 04.08.2023, it is evident that the petitioner has been paid his gratuity, leave encashment, general provident fund, arrears of dearness allowance, arrears of pension and arrears of salary totaling to a figure of Rs. 29,28,616/-. However, group insurance was not paid. The stand of the Life Insurance Corporation of India recorded in the order dated 22.08.2023 shows that the sum of money due on account of group insurance could not be made available because the claim papers and details relating to the petitioner have not been forwarded by the Jal Nigam. It is stated by Mr. S.K. Om, learned Counsel that now group insurance has been received in account on 26.10.2023. The group insurance paid to the petitioner is in the sum of Rs. 43,321/-. In this view of the matter, nothing now appears to survive in this petition. It is, accordingly, consigned to record. Order on Civil Misc. Stay Application No. 1 of 2023 Disposed of. For orders, see my order of date passed on the writ petition. Order Date :- 31.10.2023 Prashant D. High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
