Judgment

Court No. - 34 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 18372 of 2023 Petitioner :- Ram Gopal Yadav Respondent :- Union Of India And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Saroj Kumar Yadav,Pawan Kumar Yadav Counsel for Respondent :- A.S.G.I. Hon'ble Ajit Kumar,J. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. Petitioner seeks to challenge the order dated 2nd November, 2011 on the plea that he has received recently information from the Principal Chief Secretary, Commissioner/ Railway Protection Force, North Central Railway, Prayagraj. Having perused the letter dated 24th August, 2023, I find that this is a merely an communication as to the matter being earlier disposed of but since petitioner has repeatedly been making queries, he has been communicated with him the fact that matter had stood concluded. Learned Standing Counsel does not dispute that petitioner had the knowledge of the order passed on 2nd November, 2011. I do not see any good ground to interfere with the order dated 2nd November, 2011 at this stage after a lapse of more than 14 years. No explanation as such has been offered so as to be suggestive of genuine reasons for not approaching the Court within a reasonable time which could be six months to three years from the date of the order imposed. Petition is dismissed for delay and laches. Order Date :- 1.11.2023 Atmesh High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
