The petitioner who is currently working as Lekhpal seeks promotion on the post of Revenue Inspector on the ground that in the order of promotion dated 15th September, 2023 junior to the petitioners have been appointed. He submits that in state-wise seniority prepared by respondent, petitioner has not been placed only on the ground of minor punishment being awarded to him on 17.11.2020. He submits that minor punishment has finally been set aside in appeal on 1st July, 2023, and therefore, he is liable to be considered for promotion from the date his juniors are promoted. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the matter can be directed to be examined by the competent authority in the light of representation made by the petitioner on 29th/30th September, 2023 before the competent authority in the matter is stated to be Chairman Board Revenue U.P. Lucknow. In view of aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with direction respondent no. 2 to look into and consider the grievance of the petitioner raised in his representation dated

29.09.2023 sent by registered post on 30th September, 2023 and dispose of the same within a period of two months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
