¶1The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that no decision is being taken by the District Magistrate/Collector on the application filed by the petitioner for grant of temporary license under the Explosive Rules 2008 for selling the fireworks during Diwali Festival.

¶2The petitioner has annexed his application dated 24.10.2019 along with the writ petition in support of his contention that he applied for temporary license.

¶3It would serve no purpose to keep the petition pending.

¶4The present petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioner makes a representation within 24 hours from today, the District Magistrate/ Collector, Kanpur Nagar shall pass appropriate order on the representation of the petitioner and also take appropriate action in accordance with law depending on his decision within two days from the date of filing the representation.

¶4The Registrar (Compliance) of this Court is directed to send a copy of this order to the District Magistrate/Collector, Kanpur Nagar for necessary compliance within 24 hours. Order Date :- 2.11.2023 Akbar High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
