By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner, who is working as Aykakarta (Rectangulator) claims for promotion on the post of Assistant Consolidation Officer. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on 03.10.2023 a list has been published wherein many junior persons have been promoted but his name does not figure in that list. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the matter may be directed to be examined by the competent authority namely the respondent no. 2 in the event petitioner approaches him by way of a representation . In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction that in the event if the petitioner approaches the respondent no. 2 by means of a representation ventilating his grievances along with the certified copy of this order within a period of 30 days from today, the same shall be considered and disposed of within a further period of two months. Needless to add that the order to be passed by the competent authority, as directed herein above, shall be reasoned and speaking one.
