¶1Heard Sri Abhishek Kumar Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Abhishek Krishna, learned counsel for respondent nos. 3 and 4.

¶2Petitioner is claiming Rs. 15,61,922/- from the respondent Nagar Palika Parishad, Azamgarh against supply of material made by it. The amount is stated to be pending since 2020. With respect to the same, the petitioner has filed a representation dated 10.08.2023. That representation is also stated to be pending.

¶3In such circumstances, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the present petition pending or calling for a counter affidavit, at this stage.

¶4Primarily, respondent no.3 has to examine and verify the correctness of the claim being made by the petitioner. If any amount is due, the same is to be paid out by the said respondent.

¶5Accordingly, without entering into the merits, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction, in case the petitioner files a copy of this order before respondent no.3 within a period of two weeks from today, the said respondent shall cause due verification to be made of the claim made by the petitioner. If any amount is found due, the same may be paid out to the petitioner within a period of two months from today.
