¶1The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents have taken over possession of some excess land than what was acquired. The petitioner has not been paid compensation for the same. He places reliance on report of the Revenue Authorities dated

12.10.2022 in support of his case. The prayer made in the instant petition is for a direction to the respondents to pay compensation for the excess land taken over by them.

¶2Sri Rajeev Gupta, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel, submits that the claim of the petitioner has to be examined by the Committee in terms of G.O. dated 12.5.2016.

¶3Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file fresh representation along with true attested copy of the instant order before respondent no. 3 within two weeks from today and in which event, respondent no. 3 will place the same before the Committee for decision in accordance with law within next twelve weeks, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and carrying out survey of the site.
