¶1Heard Sri Lallan Prasad, counsel for the petitioner, learned standing counsel for the State respondents and Sri Abrar Ahmad for respondents no.1 & 2.

¶2The prayer made in the instant petition is for a direction to the respondents to pay compensation amount to the petitioners for having acquired their plot no.285 measuring 0.240 hectare, Village Tajopur (Mohammadabad), Tehsil Maunath Bhanjan, District Mau.

¶3The case of the petitioners is that despite there being an award dated 10.12.2020 in their favour, the compensation amount has not been released so far.

¶4The material placed on record does not show that any application was filed by the petitioners before the Competent Authority for release of the compensation amount. Therefore, we dispose of the instant petition with liberty to the petitioners to file such application before Competent Authority alongwith true attested copy of the instant order so that appropriate action is taken in pursuance thereof by the Competent Authority.
