¶1Heard counsel for the petitioner, learned standing counsel for the State respondents and Sri Tushar Kant for Union of India.

¶2The instant petition has been filed praying for several reliefs. The main prayer is for a direction to the respondents to pay the compensation amount to the petitioner in terms of award dated

21.8.2023 passed under Section 3G (5) of the National Highways Act, 1956 as amended by order-award dated 19.9.2023.

¶3The petitioner has asserted in para 14 of the writ petition that the amount under the award has been deposited with the Competent Authority.

¶4There is no material on record to show that the petitioner has approached the Competent Authority for release of the amount. Therefore, we decline to issue any direction but leave it open to the petitioner to move proper application before the Competent Authority for release of the compensation amount and in which event, he will examine the entitlement of the petitioner and will take action accordingly.
