Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner, who claims to be a PRD volunteer and has already been granted training and has also performed duty but is aggrieved for his data not being fed in the details maintained regarding PRD volunteers. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the petitioner may approach the competent authority by moving appropriate application in the light of order issued on 31.03.2023 which has been brought on record as Annexure No. 14 to the writ petition. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction that in the event petitioner moves application before the competent authority namely the respondent no. 3 within a period of four weeks along with the certified copy of this order, the same shall be considered and decided within a further period of six weeks. It will remain open for the petitioner to claim also assignment of duty as he is a trained volunteer. Needless to add that the order to be passed by the competent authority, as directed herein above, shall be reasoned and speaking one.
