¶1Grievance of the petitioners is that they had purchased land along with residential house constructed thereon from one Sanjay Khanna and have offered the house constructed to a Bank which is being run in a residential area without obtaining permission of the competent authority. The competent authority has raised objection that commercial activities cannot be carried out in residential area.

¶2Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the running of the bank is in the public interest as the same would provide facility to the local residents and also due security.

¶3Learned counsel appearing for respondents submits that let the petitioners approach respondent no.2 - competent authority, who in turn may pass appropriate orders.

¶4Learned counsel appearing for the Development Authority, however, submits that the petitioners have violated conditions and commercial activity cannot carried out in residential area.

¶5Be that as it may, if the petitioners file any application, the same may be considered by the respondents in accordance with law.
