The matter was referred to the Mediation Centre vide order dated 10.10.2023 on petitioners' deposit of Rs.2.75 lakhs before the Mediation Centre on or before 19.10.2023. The report of the Mediation Centre dated 3.11.2023 states that neither the petitioners have deposited the amount nor have appeared before the Mediation Centre. Under the circumstances, since the order dated 10.10.2023 has not been complied with and since impugned first information report contains ingredients of a cognizable offence the first information report cannot be quashed.
