¶1Supplementary affidavit filed today is taken on record.

¶2Heard Shri Ramesh Kumar Shukla, learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Ashish Malhotra, learned counsel for the respondent No. 2 to 4.

¶3The name of petitioner's father is recorded in the High School and Intermediate Certificates as L.S. Pandey and he has moved an application before respondent No. 2, Chairman/Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, seeking correction in the name of his father from L.S. Pandey to Lakshmi Shankar Pandey and this writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus for the purposes of such correction.

¶4Shri Ashish Malhotra, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 2 to 4 submits that the Competent Authority has already issued a communication dated 29.09.2023 to the Principal of the Institution calling upon it to place relevant documents for the purposes of the decision.

¶5The letter dated 29.09.2023 is taken on record.

¶6The writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondent No. 2, Chairman/Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi to complete the process of correction in accordance with law and send a copy of this order to the concerned Institution before

15.12.2023 directing the Institution to comply with the letter dated

29.09.2023 positively before 31.12.2023. Thereafter, the respondent No. 2 shall take appropriate decision in the matter in the month of January, 2024 and shall communicate its decision to the petitioner by registered post immediately thereafter.
