Instructions filed today be kept on record. Against an assessment notice which was sent to the petitioners, a representation was made by her on 30.09.2023. Thereafter, the representation of the petitioners it has been informed by the learned counsel for the Electricity Department was decided on

9.10.2023 and it was observed in the decision itself that if the petitioners were aggrieved by the decision then they can approach the Electricity Department on 16.10.2023 itself. However, the petitioners did not avail of the opportunity granted to them and they did not appear on the date fixed by the Electricity Department and instead approached this Court by means of the instant writ petition. They have nowhere in the writ petition adverted to the order which was passed on 9.10.2023. Under such circumstances, no interference is warranted in the instant writ petition. If the petitioners so desire, they may again approach the Electricity Department on 6.12.2023. If the petitioners approach the Electricity Department and questions the bills, which were sent to them then the relevant authority shall consider the same.
