¶1The instant petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to shift the plot of the petitioner in pursuance of letter dated 23.12.2011; to give additional compensation to the extent of 64.4% and to decide the representation dated 21.08.2023.

¶2Sri A.B. Singhal, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents states that the matter relating to shifting of plot has been referred by respondent no.3 to the State Government vide its decision taken on 7.05.2018 and the matter is pending before the State Government. He submits that in case the acquired land is shifted/adjusted, as prayed for in the instant petition, then the petitioner would not be entitled to any additional compensation.

¶3Counsel for the petitioner submits that the State Government may be directed to take decision in the matter expeditiously.

¶4Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits, the instant petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.1 to take decision in the matter in accordance with law, within twelve weeks from the date of communication of the instant order alongwith a fresh representation.
