Contempt proceedings were initiated against opposite party on the charge that he had committed ex-facie contempt before the Presiding Officer concerned. Affidavit tendering unconditional apology has been submitted. Today, an affidavit has been filed stating that the contemnor has appeared before the Presiding Officer concerned and has tendered unconditional apology which has been accepted by the court concerned. Sri Mohd. Afzal, on the instructions of the contemnor, states that the contemnor is an young advocate and he shall not repeat any such act ever in future. Remorse is also expressed on the conduct of the contemnor. In that view of the matter and considering the young age of the lawyer, we consign the proceedings of instant contempt proceedings with observation that the contemnor shall remain careful in future and any recurrence of such act would be viewed seriously.
