¶2No one appears on behalf of the appellant to press this appeal. Sri Bade Lal Bind, learned counsel for the State is present, who has been heard.

¶3The present appeal has been filed by the appellant-Ranjan Alias Rajjan, against the judgement and order dated 20.01.1994 passed by Special Judge, (Essential Commodities Act), Kanpur Nagar in E.C. Prakaran No. 7 of 1992, (State vs. Ranjan Alias Rajjan), under Section 3/7 Essential Commodities Act, P.S.- Kaka Dev, District Kanpur Nagar.

¶4As per office report dated 31.10.2023 a report from C.J.M. concerned was called for regarding living status of the appellant in present appeal. In compliance of the said order, C.J.M. concerned vide letter dated 24.08.2021 informed that the appellant-Ranjan Alias Rajjan has died. The said report has been sent after due enquiry.

¶5Accordingly, the appeal stands abated.
