¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/petitioners and perused the record.

¶2The basic relief sought by the petitioner/petitioners in the present petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is to direct the Principal Judge, Family Court/Additional Judge, Family Court No. 4, Kanpur Nagar to decide the Case No. 163 of 2022 (Swati Dixit Versus Sandip Verma filed under Section 25 of the Guardian and Ward Act expeditiously.

¶4The matter is pending before the Court below since 2022 and considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no final decision has been taken in the matter.

¶5In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the court concerned to decide the aforesaid case in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and without granting unnecessary adjournment unless there is no legal impediment.
